The Academic Planning Center is designed to assist pre-major students in determining their academic interests and declaring a major.  Located in the Student Success Center, suite 113 of the Hoover-Price Campus Center, the director will work one-on-one with students to help identify their strengths, while educating them on the potential career paths that best accommodates their interests. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and evening hours by appointment.

The Major Fair and the Major Event are campus-wide workshops geared for freshmen and sophomores. Topics include: how to choose a major, what to expect from your academic advisor and understanding the responsibilities of the student in the decision-making process. These topics provide the students with additional opportunities to hone their interests into a major that can lead to a career.
