The process of life, which holds relevance to all aspects of society, is studied in the biology major at Mount Union College. If you are interested in pharmaceutical sales, medicine, allied-health professions, or the research or education of biology, Mount Union's biology discipline is for you.

Maureen Hinton With our new $23 million natural sciences facility, Bracy Hall, which opened up in the fall of 2003, biology students have the classroom and laboratory essentials required for functional learning.

Science majors are also encouraged to take advantage of the two nature centers available for Mount Union students:

The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center, which is located six miles south of campus, consists of a forest in all stages of succession, a pond and long-range research sites on over 130 acres of land.

The Ball Research forest is a 25-acre pine forest that is used for field trips, classes, and research.

Field trips to the Rocky Mountains, Duke University Marine Laboratory and Costa Rica for tropical biology study are available for students along with internships at local hospitals and with local physicians, dentists and veterinarians.
