Thirty-five graduate schools showcased their programs at Mount Union College recently -- one of the many career and educational opportunities provided for students.


Mount Union College students majoring in the department of economics, accounting and business administration have the opportunity to participate in an extracurricular activity that allows them to gain real-life experience - before they enter the business world.


A great class setting is one where students are working hard to grasp information and a professor is available to encourage and offer insight. Dr. Patricia Matthews, professor and department chair of economics, accounting and business administration, has been recreating this setting in her classes since 1975.

The Mount Union College Office of Career Development and the Department of Economics, Accounting and Business Administration will receive the National Association of Colleges and Employers 2005 Excellence Award in the category of Educational Programming-College. The award honors the business course series, "Putting Theory into Practice: The Career Development Series."

David Kuhlke, Dr. Clara Becerra, Dr. Karen Kehoe and Dr. Michelle Collins-Sibley were the featured speakers at Mount Union College's annual Faculty Forum, held April 6 in Bracy Hall.

Mount Union College accounting students offered their skills to Alliance's low and moderate-income residents at the Alliance Neighborhood Center.
