As a major in business administration/management, expect to be a team player. Students need to be excellent problem solvers and creative solution seekers. At Mount Union, the coursework in the major will help perfect these skills so that you're ready for any challenge that comes your way. This major involves comprehensive, flexible, and hands on learning.
For example, in the marketing principals course, students are required to complete a marketing team project. Students take the skills they learn in the classroom and apply them in an actual business setting. This semester-long project pairs up the class with an area business in need of marketing assistance. It is both a fun and educational experience for the students and the business owner. Each gets the chance to learn from the other, resulting in a heightened sense of the business and a feeling of accomplishment. Students also have the opportunity to be a part of the BEST program (Bringing Executives & Students Together).
This major will also get students thinking about issues such as politics, ethics, and other dynamics that play a role in every work environment.
