If computing interests you and you would like to learn more about the scientific and technical aspects of it, the computer science major at Mount Union College may be for you.

At Mount Union students can take advantage of current and future technological innovations and develop skills through hands-on experience as majors in computer science.

A computer science major will provide you with knowledge of programming, hardware organization, operating systems, theory of computation and principles of programming language. These skills will prepare graduates to enter technological fields such as systems programming, technical support, research and teaching.

Computer science majors can participate in off-campus internships, independent study projects, part-time computer employment, lectures by guest speakers, Society of Computing Students programming and on-campus employment as lab assistants, lab supervisors and HelpDesk assistants.

Recent computer science graduates of Mount Union have entered master's programs at Case Western Reserve University, Florida State University, University of Illinois, University of Michigan, The Ohio State University, University of North Carolina and the University of Pittsburgh.
