Executive in Residence
As a professor of business administration focusing on management, Mr. Posey teaches a variety of management courses including Principles of Management, Operations Management, Management Policy & Control (management SCE), and several other seminars. Mr. Posey is also the advisor to the Society for the Advancement of Management (SAM), a student organization.
Before joining the faculty of Mount Union College in 2003, Mr. Posey held the position of General Manager in McDermott Technology, Inc., a subsidiary of McDermott International, a position he held since 1997. In that position, he was responsible for securing programs to fund technology development of a variety of advanced power generation technologies, including solid oxide fuel cells. Before joining McDermott Technology, Mr. Posey held a variety a management positions in The Babcock & Wilcox Company and later in BWX Technologies, where he was responsible for Project Management, Purchasing, Sales, Marketing & Proposal Development, Foundry Operations, and the Legal function.
Posey earned a bachelor of arts degree in Materials Engineering from Brown University in 1974. Mr. Posey also holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, granted in 1997.
Posey resides in Fairlawn with his wife Cindy and daughter, Jessica. Mr. Posey is the Vice President of the Board of Trustees of Children's Ballet Theatre, a pre-professional dance company.
