The goal of the Department of Foreign Languages is to broaden the perspectives of students both humanistically and pragmatically. As a major in a foreign language at Mount Union, you will be equipped to develop the flexibility of mind to meet the demands of a pluralistic society.
Majors will have the opportunity to learn interactively in the language laboratory, which contains computer-assisted instruction as well as audiotapes, videotapes and DVDs.
The Department prepares majors for graduate study, the teaching profession and careers dealing with government and business in a foreign atmosphere.
Mount Union offers majors and minors in French, German, Japanese and Spanish as well as courses in Chinese and Russian.
