If so, the history major at Mount Union College might be for you!
A major in history will provide students with skills in historical research and analysis, an understanding of the past and knowledge of specific historical periods.
Along with U.S. history, students will develop an appreciation of other people and cultures, enhancing multicultural understanding that will prepare you for careers in education, law and government, business management, writing, and research among many others.
Graduates can also continue their education in graduate programs in their field or at law schools across the nation.
History students are members of student organizations such as the History and Political Science Club and Phi Alpha Theta honorary.
Experiential learning will allow students to use their classroom knowledge in a practical environment in ways including internships at local, county, and state historical societies, volunteering at the Haines House Underground Project, online journal editing, participation in regional and local conferences, lecture series, field trips, and social gatherings.
