As our healthcare system increases in complexity, there is a need for caring competent individuals in many areas of expertise. These include:

With U.S. medical schools being highly selective, Mount Union College offers an intense program to prepare students for acceptance into professional schools in these and other health-related fields.
Students planning to enter today's high-tech fields in healthcare require advanced, specialized degrees. Mount Union offers a program to prepare students for the rigors of professional school and to guide students through the highly competitive application process. This academic and extracurricular program provides students with a firm foundational knowledge of science required by professional schools while also offering opportunities to explore health fields.
Students will also have the opportunity to obtain skills and knowledge through experiential learning. Volunteering and shadowing with local doctors and hospitals will give students a hands-on look at the medical field. Other student opportunities for learning include guest lectures and networking with alumni.
Medical School Placement
Students participating in the program have a high rate of acceptance to professional schools in all health fields. Students go on to study health sciences in places such as The Ohio State University, University of Toledo, Ohio University, Lake Erie College of Medicine and Wright State University.
