If so, the psychology major at Mount Union College may be for you!
With a broad-base of knowledge regarding behavior and mental processes, a major in psychology at Mount Union will prepare you for advanced study in graduate and professional schools in several different areas including:
- Clinical/Counseling psychology
- Educational/School psychology
- Developmental, Social, and Experimental psychology
Students with a bachelor's degree in psychology can also pursue entry-level positions in many fields including but not limited to:
- Mental health management
- Human resources
- Social work
- Advertising
With a combination of classroom theory and practical experience, students will be prepared for a rewarding future in whatever field you choose.
Organizations students may become active in include the Psychology Club and Psi Chi the National Honor Society in psychology.
The psychology program provides many opportunities for experiential learning through internships and field placements, social service agencies, drug abuse counseling agencies, probation offices and schools.
Other off-campus opportunities include professional meetings, undergraduate research conferences, the Wilderness Experience, and spring break service projects in developing countries.
