Psi Chi is the national honor society in psychology. Psi Chi was founded for the purpose of promoting excellence in scholarship and advancing the science of psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests and who meet the qualifications. Mount Union College has a vibrant and active Psi Chi Chapter. The MUC chapter was chartered in 2000 and holds induction ceremonies in the fall and spring to welcome new members.

Requirements for membership:

  • completion of at least three semesters in psychology
  • completions of 9 semester hours of psychology courses
  • ranking in the top 35% on one's class in general scholarship
  • a minimum GPA of 3.0 in both psychology classes and in cumulative grades
