Housed within the Mount Union Department of Political Science, the Center for Public Service will provide you with the applied coursework and real world internships and summer experiences essential to a career in public service. You will have the option of completing a minor in public service or, if you major in political science, a concentration in public service.

The minor in public service consists of 18 hours of classes. Some of the required classes for the program include Introduction to Public Service, Public Personnel Management, State and Local Government, Public Budgeting and Quantitative Political Analysis. An internship in Washington D.C. or Columbus, or with a local government entity will be required.

With academics at the forefront of the Mount Union experience, the Center for Public Service will provide students with opportunities to create a meaningful intellectual environment in which they can thrive.
