Resume Assistance ~ Private appointments, resume workshops, or drop off resume construction/critique assistance.
CollegeCentral.com ~ Internet resume housing system licensed by Career Development. Can send resume queries within minutes of recruiter request. Many recruiters manage their own account, thereby viewing student resumes at will. Secure and free to students. Students can track where Career Development has sent their resumes and what companies have viewed them.
Mock Interviews ~ Weekly videotaped informational interviews facilitated by a recruiting professional. Students must reserve a time slot in the Career Office.
Professional Development Course BA 343 ~ One-hour course open to sophomores, juniors and seniors in any program of study. Workshops and lectures led by subject matter experts who provide important applied techniques and theories. Participants will integrate those theories into their own skill/knowledge base and use them to map out strategies for achieving their own objectives in areas such as: resume construction, job search strategies, interviewing, credit/finance, professional communications, compensation negotiations, cost of living analysis & more. Here students participate in an etiquette luncheon at the President's home.
On Campus Recruiting ~ Recruiters facilitate interviews for active positions (both employment and internships) hosted by the career office.
TGIFriday Feedback Forum ~ Unique approach-departmental job/intern fair on campus. Recruiters will score students on first impression, resume, approach, etc., as well as interview for employment/internship opportunities.
Alumni Mentoring Program ~ Web-based alumni message board designed to provide long distance career advice and mentoring. Will be developed into a more structured program of collaboration with alumni and development.
Top Gun Dinner ~ First come (reservations), annual formal dinner; networking 25 students with top professionals in their field.
The Toilet Paper ~ Career Newsletter ~ published monthly for an update of career programs and on campus recruiting and articles of career interest.
Collaborative Collegiate Job/Intern Fairs ~ Nine collaborative job fairs at a variety of locations in Ohio.
