Throughout the years of the convocation program, Mount Union College has brought many renowned speakers to campus to generate thought and encourage dialogue.
Students, faculty and staff attend convocation for the diversity of ideas and intellectual spark the speaker brings to the College.
Previous speakers for convocations include Dr. Bell Hooks, a leader in women's studies, Dale Van Atta, an investigative reporter, Roy Ayers, a jazz recording artist and Anthony Dorame, the former Lt. Governor of the Tesuque Pueblo. The following is a comprehensive history of the speakers at the College since 1989.
