The Wolf Lecture

Marilyn Nelson will present the Wolf Lecture on April 2 at 7 p.m. in Dewald Chapel.

Nelson is one of a generation of African American poets who came to age in the '60s and '70s. The author of six books of poetry, she earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of California-Davis, a master of arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a doctoral degree from the University of Minnesota. She has been named a poet laureate for the State of Connecticut.

The Eleanor Mincks Wolf Lecture was established by John L. Wolf of Medina, Ohio in memory of his wife Eleanor. A 1939 graduate of Mount Union College, she was a former teacher of English and Latin in Richfield and Highland school districts. This lecture features a professional in the English field.
