Instructions for First Year Students Applying for Admission

The following application forms for admission to Mount Union College are designed for use by prospective first year students.

1. Submit your Application for Admission to the Office of Admission early in your senior year. We begin processing applications for each upcoming academic year on October 1. We strongly advise interested students to apply as early as possible.

2. Give the Secondary School Report Form to your high school guidance counselor. This form is a request that an official high school transcript be completed and forwarded to Mount Union's Office of Admission. YOUR TRANSCRIPT SHOULD INCLUDE YOUR CURRENT COURSES IN PROGRESS, ANY AVAILABLE GRADES FROM THE CURRENT ACADEMIC YEAR, AND PROFICIENCY EXAMINATION RESULTS IF REQUIRED IN YOUR STATE.

3. Candidates for freshman admission are required to submit the results of either the American College Testing (ACT) Program Examination or Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT-I) given by the College Entrance Examination Board. For applicants of the 2005-2006 academic year, the College does not require the ACT Writing Test, and will not use the Writing Test as a factor for applicants who submit a Writing Test score. Please request that your scores be reported directly to Mount Union College. Applicants may submit the results of either examination taken during the junior or senior year. Detailed information concerning entrance examinations should be obtained from your high school's guidance office.
