The application for admission to Mount Union College requires an essay to be submitted, in order for the file to be completed and reviewed. Please adhere to the following instructions:

We want to get to know you as well as possible through our application materials and believe that your thoughtful, well-constructed essay is an important step in this process. Respond to one of the following questions. Your essay should be of sufficient length to demonstrate your writing ability to the admissions committee and to do justice to the topic.

  1. What would you like our admissions committee to know about you that we cannot learn simply by reviewing your high school transcript and other records submitted in support of your application?
  2. What significant leadership or volunteer roles have you played? How have they impacted your life?
  3. What values do you cherish the most and how have you demonstrated them through the choices that you have made?
