Job Title: Mount Union Call Center Student Caller
Department: Annual Giving/Advancement
Location: Call Center (Lower level-Miller Hall)
Type of pay: Premium hourly pay!!
Responsibilities:
- Attend call center training session for comprehensive preparation for calling as scheduled
- Be available to attend subsequent follow up training as necessary
- Work a minimum of two shifts per week
- Build teamwork and a positive work environment by arriving to each calling session on time, prepared and with a positive attitude
- Communicate with potential donors for gifts and clearly update and verify all changes to alumni information
- Maintain good public relations with alumni, parents and friends of the College
- Maintain all Call Center confidentialities
- Alert management staff to all prospective donor issues and problems
- Accurately record the results of phone calls and fill out forms completely
- Write thank you notes to all donors with whom contact was made from your terminal
- Keep work area clean and maintained
- Display maturity and responsibility in the call center
- Utilize strong listening skills to allow for effective interactions between yourself and the College’s external constituencies
- Encourage and motivate other team members
Qualifications:
Must possess a contagious and measurable enthusiasm for Mount Union College and the academic, extracurricular and athletic programs that fall under its umbrella, as well as a willingness to keep up with issues on campus. Must be able to be present and on time for scheduled shifts, have a strong work ethic, treat people with respect (both on the phone and on the call center team), and have excellent communication skills. In addition, having the desire to succeed at and achieve set goals while building the program as a member of a team.
Desire to build resume with top-notch business and communications experience while helping to meet the critical needs of the College’s through its fundraising goals.
Average hours per week: 6 hours per week made up of a minimum of two evenings of calling
