Consolidating Federal Loans
The Federal Stafford Loan and Federal PLUS Loan application process has been changed to allow students and parents the opportunity to electronically sign their loan application. Please complete the following steps when applying for a Federal Stafford Loan or Federal PLUS Loan: - Complete the Federal Stafford Loan Request form or Federal PLUS Loan Request Form and return it to the Office of Student Financial Services. Once the form has been received and processed by the Office of Student Financial Services, you will receive an e-mail prompting you to complete the on-line Master Promissory Note (MPN).
- Read the borrower benefits and select a Frequently Used Lender.
- Complete Federal Stafford Entrance Counseling. Please note, the Federal Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling requirement is only for Federal Stafford Loan borrowers. Federal PLUS Loan borrowers do not complete entrance counseling.
- Complete the On-line Master Promissory Note (MPN) for both the Federal Stafford Loan and Federal PLUS Loan.
