Wrestling Wins Final Home Meet Of The Season

(ALLIANCE, OH)--Mount Union College defeats Ohio Athletic Conference foe Wilmington College 30-12 in the regular season home finale at Timken Gymnasium in Alliance.

Mount Union has won four of its last five dual matches to stand at 5-4 overall and 3-2 in the OAC, while Wilmington falls to 6-6 overall and 3-2 in the OAC.

The Purple Raiders won seven of nine contested matches highlighted by a pin from freshman Kevin Shadrach (Parma/Parma) at 149 pounds, major decisions from freshman TJ Arnone (Willoughby/Willougby South) at 133, sophomore Josh Cintron (Alliance/Alliance) at 141, junior Mike Manypenny (Salem/Salem) at 165 and a technical fall from sophomore Bill Schindel (Tallmadge/Akron Hoban) at 197.    

Mount Union wraps up the regular season Tuesday (Feb. 10) at Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio.
