Fundraising

As a student organization, the Dance Team participates in a number of fundraisers during the year to off set the costs of uniforms and other apparel.  Members of the team are expected to participate in such fundraising and may be asked to purchase uniform pieces, t-shirts, sweatshirts or other attire as necessary.  Each member will be expected to provide his or her own shoes (black jazz sneakers).

One fundraiser the Dance Team organizes is its annual Dance Invitational where the teams of area colleges and universities gather for a day of performances.  Other fundraising activities have included car washes and candy sales, among others.

During the 2007-2008 Academic Year, the Dance Team also chose to raise funds for Relay for Life, assembling a team and participating in the Alliance’s local event that took place on Mount Union’s campus.
