Eric Mojock enters his second season as the head men’s and women’s swimming and diving coach at Mount Union College.

In his first season, Mojock led the Purple Raiders to seven wins on the men's side and the seven wins on the women's side produced the school's first winning record in eight seasons.  Over his coaching career, 90 all-conference selections, 12 All-Americans and four national qualifiers.

Mojock comes to Alliance from Westminster (PA) College where he spent two seasons as an assistant coach.  He also served as the Aquatics Director at the New Castle Country Club/New Wilmington Pool from 2003-06.

The New Castle, PA, native was a four-year letterwinner, team captain and backstroke specialist at Westminster, who earned NCAA Division III All-American honors in 2002.  He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biology in 2002 and is in the process of completing a master's degree from Westminster.

Pat Smith is in his second season as an assistant swim coach at Mount Union College. 

Smith, a 2007 graduate of Westminster (PA) College, was a two-time All-American in the 200 and 400 meter medley relays.  A four-year letterwinner, Smith was also an eight-time all-conference first team and eight-time all-conference second team selection, competing mostly in the backstroke and 400 individual medley.

Richard Blough
Assistant Coach
Richard Blough is in his second season as an assistant swimming coach at Mount Union College.  Blough works with the Purple Raider divers.

This season marks Blough's 50th season involved in the sport of swimming either as a competitor or coach.  Aside from his work at Mount Union, he is also in his eighth year as the boy's and girl's diving coach at Canton McKinley High School and was the diving coach at The College of Wooster from 1976-2001. 

A 1966 graduate of Hiram College with a bachelor’s degree in general science, Blough earned All-American status five times in college.   He also earned a master’s degree in zoology from the University of Kansas in 1968.
