First Year Experience

The First Year Experience (FYE) at Mount Union College is an exciting, innovative program for first-year students interested in exploring the connections between learning and living - between what happens inside the classroom and the world that exists outside.

Mount Union may eventually offer this program to all students, but during this pilot period, FYE will bring together a select number of students, a group of distinguished professors from a variety of disciplines, upper-class students who will serve as FYE advocates and personnel from the Office of Student Affairs who will provide programming and support.

The FYE is a college-wide initiative that offers a variety of programs and services designed for first-year students, including:

• Academic support services
• Opportunities for faculty interaction outside of the classroom
• Involvement with the college community

The first year of college is a pivotal year. We are excited to offer this array of programs and services to promote the success of our first-year students.
