Following Commencement, the Office of Public Affairs and Marketing will send out news releases to the identified hometown newspapers of each graduate, as long as the student has given permission to do so and provided the names of the newspapers in which they would like information to be listed.
During their freshman year at Mount Union, students were asked to fill out an online form that provided permission to send out such releases as well as the names of hometown newspapers. It is possible that some students may not have completed the form or that their hometown newspaper information has changed since then. Therefore, it is important that each student check with the Office of Public Affairs and Marketing prior to Commencement to ensure that the College has the necessary information on file.
Please note that the Office of Public Affairs and Marketing will send out a hometown news releases for each student that has given permission to do so, but that does not guarantee that the newspapers will print the releases. All material is printed at the discretion of the newspapers.
