Responsibilities:   
The Department of Economics, Accounting, and Business Administration is seeking an energetic individual committed to undergraduate teaching and experiential learning.  Principal responsibilities will be teaching departmental courses, including the professional development sequence;  managing the department’s internship program;  serving as the department’s chief liaison with the local business community through a variety of activities such as facilitating delivery of support to those businesses and coordinating the department’s Business Advisory Board; and facilitating an extra-curricular program featuring interaction between business executives and a highly selective group of students.

Qualifications:   
M. B. A. or Masters Degree in business field and significant business experience required.  Ph.D. or D.B.A. a plus.  Candidates must have a commitment to teaching in a liberal arts setting.

Compensation:   
Competitive, based upon qualifications.  Benefits include a 10% contribution by the College to TIAA/CREF after one year of service; contribution by the College toward hospitalization, major medical, disability, and group life insurance; and tuition discount for spouse or children attending Mount Union.

Descriptive Information:  
Mount Union College (www.muc.edu), founded in 1846, is an accredited, four-year, residential, coeducational liberal arts college with 130 full-time faculty members and more than 2,150 students, including minority and international students.  Eighty-three percent of the faculty hold terminal degrees.  Relationships between the faculty and the students are close and constructive.  The College is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and emphasizes the total educational growth and development of students: intellectual, moral, spiritual, and social.  Facilities are modern, the campus is pleasant, and the College has well-rounded cultural and social programs.
