Responsibilities:
The Department of Psychology at Mount Union College invites applications for a tenure-track position in psychology to begin August 2009. Primary responsibilities include teaching abnormal, counseling, and introductory psychology and the development of a new course in health psychology. Additional responsibilities in the department may include teaching and/or developing courses in sport psychology, behavioral therapies, and courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Candidates who show an interest in involving undergraduates in research are preferred.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or Psy.D, in Clinical, Counseling, or Health Psychology is preferred (ABD considered if degree to be completed by commencement of contract). Candidates must have a commitment to teaching in a liberal arts setting.
Mount Union College is an accredited, four-year residential coeducational liberal arts college founded in 1846 with 124 full-time faculty members and more than 2300 students. The College is located near Canton, Akron, and Youngstown and is approximately 60 miles southeast of Cleveland and 75 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.
