The mission of the Office of Public Affairs and Marketing of Mount Union College is to present the College to its external constituents in a positive light. Its vision is to take a pro-active approach using all the media resources at its disposal to create the best possible image for Mount Union College.
At the foundation of the Office of Public Affairs and Marketing is the philosophy of a strategic planning-based approach. As the campus headquarters in public relations and marketing, the office’s staff members will offer guidance in building a comprehensive marketing and public relations effort for individual offices, departments, events or campaigns. From the initial planning stages to the delivery of the finished product, the involvement of the Office of Public Affairs and Marketing will ensure the best possible outcome while sustaining the identity and image that support the mission of the College.
The Office of Public Affairs and Marketing is responsible for all marketing efforts in the promotion of Mount Union, its academic programs, recruitment and fund-raising initiatives, special events, athletic teams and community successes, among others. Such efforts include tactics involving public relations, marketing, media relations, sports information, publications, advertising, community relations, church relations, website development, social networking, video and photography.
The Office of Public Affairs and Marketing consists of six full-time employees, each with certain responsibilities existing within the public relations and marketing process.
