Mount Union College's baseball team (20-18) dropped their second game of the OAC Tournamnet 5-3 to Otterbein (26-14) on Friday, May 9 in Tiffin, Ohio.

The Cardinals struck first in the top of the third inning as they posted three runs to take 3-0 lead. However, the Raiders would respond in the bottom of the third on a two-out, two-run double by freshman/shortstop Craig Knott to cut the Cardinal lead to 3-2.

Otterbein added one more in the top of the fourth and another in the top of the fifth inning to extend the lead to three runs at 5-2.

The Purple and White would attempt a comeback in the late innings adding one run in the bottom of the eighth inning on a RBI single by sophomore/catcher Connor Nell that scored senior/outfielder Andy Warner to trim the lead to 5-3. However, Mount Union would get no closer as they would fall by the same score.

The Raiders were led offensively by Knott who went 2-4 with 2 RBI.

Mount Union's junior/outfielder Grant Sevek (Salem) was named to the 2008 OAC All-Tournament Team.

Mount Union finished the season with a 20-18 record, which was good for fourth in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
