Purple Raiders Lose on the Road at Walsh

Mount Union College's baseball team (6-5) fell 9-3 to Walsh University on Monday, March 24 in North Canton.
Mount Union, which never led in the game, had three runs on nine hits compared to the CAVS' nine runs on 14 hits.
Individually, outfielder Greg Ferrell went 2-4 with two runs scored, outfielder Dave Bogner was 2-4 and Andy Warner was 1-4 with a double. Outfielder Grant Sevek added a hit and first baseman Cory Slaybaugh had two RBI groundouts for the Raiders.
Starting pitcher Cody Colly took the loss in five and a third innings of work. He allowed four earned runs on six hits, while striking out two.
Mount Union will next compete against Hiram on Wednesday, March 26 at Mount Union. First pitch from 23rd Street Field is scheduled for 4 p.m.
