RPI Bests Purple Raiders in Florida

Mount Union College's baseball team (3-3) suffered a
12-5 loss to Rensselaer Polytechnic (NY) on Thursday, March 13 in Tampa, FL.
The Purple Raiders outhit RPI 14-13 but never found their groove on the mound. Raider pitcher Jimmy Enright took the loss in just his second appearance this spring.
Offensively, second baseman Michael Almasy was 3-5 with an RBI, outfielder Andy Warner also had three hits including a double, outfielder Greg Ferrell was 2-4 with a triple and two RBI and third baseman Nate McFarland was 2-5 with a double and a two-run scoring single.
The Purple and White continue play on Friday, March 14 with a doubleheader against Daniel Webster (NH). Game #1 is scheduled for 10 a.m.
