Warner Named to 2008 Baseball Academic All-OAC Team

Mount Union College senior/designated hitter Andy Warner (North Canton/Hoover) was named to the 2008 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Team, announced the OAC Office on Tuesday, May 20.

Warner, a career .363 hitter, hit .362 with 13 doubles, three homeruns, a team-best 31 runs batted in and six stolen bases in 2008.  

Warner recently finished his academic career with a degree in Accounting and Business Administration and a 3.61 grade point average.

To be eligible for Academic All-OAC, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA, be a starter or key reserve and be in at least her second year of participation in the sport.

Overall, Mount Union (20-18) finished in fourth place in the OAC in 2008.
