#24 Men's Cross Country Finishes Second at All-Ohio Championships

(DELAWARE, OH)-Mount Union College's men's cross country team, ranked No. 24 in the nation, was the second-best NCAA Division III team at the All-Ohio Championships Friday in Delaware, Ohio.  The Purple Raiders placed ninth overall at the meet that includes every college and university cross country team in the state of Ohio.

Junior Dan Whisler (Ashland/Ashland) led the way for the Raiders with a 34th place finish (26:34).  Rounding out the top five scorers for the Purple Raiders include sophomore Ty Griffin (Massillon/Massillon Perry) in 54th (26:58), senior Dustin Ford (Canton/Massillon Perry) in 61st (27:03), senior Matt Dieterich (Brunswick/Padua Franciscan) in 78th (27:21), and junior Bryce Basista (North Ridgeville/Elyrica Catholic) in 81st (27:23).

Mount Union will race next week at the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio.
