Steve Gillespie Earns D3KICKS All-Region First-Team Soccer Honors

Mount Union College senior/midfielder Steve Gillespie (Brecksville/Broadview Heights) has earned D3KICKS.COM First-Team All-Great Lakes Region status for his performance in 2007, announced on January 2, 2008.

Gillespie was also a First-Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference soccer selection and the conference’s Midfielder of the Year in 2007.

“Steve (Gillespie) has earned all the accolades that have come his way with his play on the field this past fall,” noted Purple Raider men’s soccer Head Coach John Witkowski. “He has excellent work habits, was consistent in his performance, a team-leader and was clearly one of the top players in this region. He certainly will be missed, but this is a great way for him to go out – being recognized for all his hard work.”
