Bondra Named Academic All-District IV Men's Soccer

(DELAWARE, OH)--Mount Union College junior Chris Bondra (Mentor/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV Men's Soccer Second Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Bondra, a defender, has played in 17 of the Purple Raiders 18 games and is fourth on the team in scoring with five points (two goals and an assist).  Off the field, Bondra has a 3.50 cumulative grade point average as an accounting major.

To be selected Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve with at least a 3.30 grade point average.  Academic All-District First Team selections advance to the national Academic All-American ballot.  Sports Information Directors within a district vote for the Academic All-District teams with members of the CoSIDA Academic All-American committee voting on the national ballot.  District IV includes every NCAA Division II, III and NAIA institution in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.
