Purple Raiders Defeat Presidents

Mount Union's wrestling team (2-11) defeated Washington and Jefferson (4-7)by a score of 31-7 on Friday evening, January 25 in Alliance, Ohio at the College's Timken Gymnasium.

The Purple Raiders got out to an early 18-0 lead as they won four straight weight classes to begin the match, including the only pin fall of the night by Kyle Jordan (133 pounds), and never looked back.

Nicholas Allerding kept his perfect 4-0 season record alive by winning a 5-2 decision at 184 pounds.

The Purple and White will continue their OAC play as they host Ohio Northern on Tuesday, January 29 at 7:30 p.m.
