Women's Soccer Shutout in Season Opener

(OBERLIN, OH)--Mount Union College women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss Tuesday night at Oberlin College in the 2009 season opener.
The match was scoreless in the first half and Oberlin (1-0) got on the board in the 56th minute with a goal from Evanne Gordon. Lois Immerman made the final 2-0 with a tally in the 88th minute.
Christie Zelnik had four saves in the shutout for Oberlin.
Freshman Kylee Kolesar (Mentor/Mentor) had a three shots on goal in her first collegiate start to lead Mount Union (0-1).
The Purple Raiders play Friday at 5:30 pm at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA.
