Royer Named to Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-American Team

Lindsey Royer

Mount Union College's senior/pitcher Lindsey Royer (Louisville/Marlington) was named to the 2008 Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Assocation All-American Team.

Royer earned Third-Team All-American status.  Earlier, the four-time First-Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, was named the 2008 Gayle Lauth OAC Player-of-the-Year, John Wells OAC Pitcher-of-the-Year, and earned First-Team NFCA All-Central Region.

Royer finished her career as the Raiders' all-time wins leader with 79 career wins and strikeout leader with 695.  This season Royer posted a single-season team record with a 28-5 mark.  She also finished her career with a 2.09 earned run average in 628.1 career innings.  At the plate, she finished her career with a .396 batting average, 13 homeruns and 110 runs batted in.
