Three Raiders Earn NFCA All-Central Region Honors

Mount Union College's senior/pitcher Lindsey Royer (Louisville/Marlington), sophomore/outfielder Meghan Allen (Hartville/Lake) and senior/utility Lee Negrelli (Mentor) were named to the 2008 Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Assocation All-Central Region Team.

Royer, the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Player-of-the-Year, earned First-Team honors.  Royer finished the season with a Raider single-season record 28-5 mark, giving her a team-record 79 career wins.  She finished the season with a 2.24 earned run average with 212 strikeouts. Royer finished her career with a record 695 strikeouts.

Allen also earned First-Team honors finishing the 2008 campaign with a .405 batting average with 10 doubles and 24 runs batted in.

Negrelli earned Second-Team honors with a .389 batting average and a team-best 12 stolen bases.

Overall, Mount Union (38-10) finished the season with a team record 38 wins to go along with its first OAC Tournament title.
