Volleyball Falls at Muskingum

(NEW CONCORD, OH)--Mount Union College's volleyball team fell 3-2 (30-32, 25-14, 20-25, 25-21, 15-13) to Muskingum College in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Tuesday in New Concord.

The loss leaves the Purple Raiders at 20-8 overall and at 5-3 in the OAC alone in fourth place which is a half game behind third place Capital University (5-2 OAC) and ahead of Muskies, who stand at 3-3 in the conference and 19-5 overall after the win.

The Raiders got strong performances from junior Melissa Mahnke (North Royalton/North Royalton) who had 21 kills, while freshman Julie Radigan (Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) and junior Nicole Baka (Streetsboro/Streetsboro) each had season-highs with 58 assists and 38 digs.

Mount Union wraps up the non-conference portion of its schedule Saturday against No. 17 in the nation Hope (MI) College and Adrian (MI) College in a tri-match in Adrian, Michigan.
