Raider senior/running back Dan Pugh (Norwalk/St. Paul), the 2002 Division III Football Player of the Year, recorded seven touches in the East-West Shrine game held in San Francisco's Pac Bell Stadium on Saturday, January 11.

Dan Pugh broke Barry Sanders' collegiate single-season touchdown mark (39) set in 1988.  Pugh scored 41 touchdowns in 2002, including four in the Stagg Bowl.

Mount Union College won its third consecutive Division III Football National Championship, and sixth in the last seven years, with a 48-7 victory over Trinity University (TX) in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, in front of 4,389 fans at Salem Stadium in Salem, Virginia, on Saturday, December 21.
