Mount Union Offers Text Message and E-Mail Service For Sports Scores and News
Mount Union College will offer fans the ability to get sports scores, news and updates for FREE as either a text message on their cell phones or e-mails sent directly to their mailbox. E-Scores will allow fans to choose any or all of the Purple Raiders’ 21 teams to get information instantly on their cellular phones, computer or both. Updates will come after every event. Former Mount Union Swimmer Eddis Singleton Finished Tied for 20th in 50m Freestyle at U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials
(OMAHA, Neb.)—Former Mount Union College men’s swimmer Eddis Singleton (East Cleveland/Shaw) finished tied for 20th in the preliminaries of the 2008 US Olympic Trails Friday (July 4) at the Quest Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Singleton's mark of 22.73 left him just four spots shy of the semifinals.
Lady Raiders Eckersley, Wright and DeSanto Earn Academic All-OAC At-Large Honors
Mount Union junior/swimmer Sarah Eckersley (Lyndhurst/Charles F. Brush), sophomore/swimmer Jamie Wright (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) and junior/golfer Toni DeSanto (Mentor) earned 2008 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference At-Large honors, announced the conference office.
