Why did you choose to pursue your degree?
I’ve always had an interest in politics and law.  After visiting Mount Union and talking with professors in the major and in the public service, I decided that Mount Union was the best fit to help me be successful.

What types of jobs are available for students who share your major?
Lawyer, Judge, a federal, state, or local government official, working in any government agency and working for non-profit organizations

How will you use your degree upon graduation?
I plan to attend law school, practice law, and hopefully work my way into the political arena.

What activities are you involved in?
I'm involved in Pre-Law Society, Phi Alpha Delta, Campus Crusade for Christ, Raider Programming Board, and serve as an admission's tour guide.

What elements should a person possess in order to succeed in your major?
A strong interest in government is key.  Also, a willingness to participate in class discussions and debate helps to form opinions.  The ability to look at multiple sides of issues in order to learn more about the issue and the ideas of others.

What advice can you offer for someone who is considering having the same major as you?

Get involved in classes as much as you can because asking questions and participating in discussions will help you to fully comprehend the material.
