Major: Sport Business
Why did you choose to pursue your degree?
Athletics have had such a positive impact on my life so I knew I wanted to stay involved with them in some way. I chose Mount Union because of their excellent Sport Business and Exercise Science programs.
What types of jobs are available for students who share your major?
There are a considerably wide variety of careers to choose from for Sport Business majors. There are different areas to pursue such as ticket sales, marketing, or team administration. Think of any career that’s sports related; Sport Business can get you there.
How will you use your degree upon graduation?
Upon graduation, I will use my degree to pursue a job coaching soccer at the collegiate level.

What elements should a person possess in order to succeed in your major?
Passion is a must. Work shouldn’t be considered something to dread. Your career should be whatever you have a passion for. Diligence-working through things and not being satisfied until an end result is reached. Also, there is no substitute for hard work.
What advice can you offer for someone who is considering having the same major as you?
Do it. If you are at all interested in athletics and want a career in that field, then this major is for you. The faculty are outstanding and they truly are there for the students. They want to see you succeed as much as you do.
