Timken Physical Education Building (1970)
The College's physical education building was made possible by a generous challenge gift of $750,000 from the Timken Foundation, Canton, Ohio, which was more than matched by gifts from Alliance area alumni and friends. A contribution of more than $500,000 from the United States Department of Health, Education, and Welfare also helped to finance this structure. Timken includes three basketball courts with a seating capacity of 3,000, a swimming pool, a wrestling room, athletic training and rehabilitation room, racquetball courts, classrooms, a lounge and offices.
